Slow and Steady. Building up for Bigger Things!

Hello everyone!

Hope you are all are doing fantastic! Like the title says, this has been a slow week, but a steady one building up to something in the future.

Semhar, one of our investigators, is simply amazing. She is finally taking action to have control over her life instead of letting her past control her. On Monday when we visited her, she told us that she has started repenting and has continued reading in the Book of Mormon and praying. We just struggle finding time to meet because she has to find a new place to move into by the end of the month.

Wednesday we had our district meeting in Hamar which was wonderful. It was about personal accountability and reminding oursleves that while we always have improvement to make, to remember that our Heavenly Father is very happy with us as we try. Sister Johnson and I were able to get a blessing from the elders. It was something I've been needing for awhile now and it felt amazing to receive. I felt the huge pressue I had on myself just disappear and I felt so light! Power of the Priesthood: It does miracles.
Later Wednesday night, we got to visit a potential we had named Michelle. We hadn't met since December becasue she and her boyfriend Thomas were doing lots of traveling. When she saw us through the window she was so excited and said, "Hey! I knew you two girls!" We were able to have a lovely chat and even got to teach her about the Restoration. So wonderful! She will be traveling yet again til Feb 24th, but she wants to teach us some Italian cooking when she returns!

On Friday, we had an appointment cancel on us but we ended up getting to teach a man named Sharrig (spelling sufferes) while we were bonking, about 20 minutes after our appointment cancelled. He wouldn't agree to a another time to meet, but we exchanged contact information to stay in touch as he read the Book of Mormon.
We also had a good lesson with Joe on Friday night. Sadly, we had to move his baptismal date back. We just have to take things slower with him to make sure he's really understanding everything. But every time we meet with him, you can see he gets more excited about baptism!

Saturday, probably my favorite day this past week. There was a baptismal serivce for one of the girls in the ward named Rebekka. She is super sweet! Afterwards we had to run to an appointment which... was alright. He's not veyr willingly to learn. But we had a really great contacting time afterwards! Even though more people called us not-so-nice things, we were able to find some great potentials and got 2 appointments! I also had a cool experience with one guy we talked with. He was walking with his friend and we stopped them. His friend apparently was stopped by sisters before and was being sassy rude with us. Then suddenly the other guy asks, "What happens after we die?" I can't forget the look on his face. He was incredibly sincere as he asked us about what happens after death. It was a powerful experience for me to see that there are people who are seeking truth. The sad part: We didn't get a way to contact him! The OK part: We gave him a mormon.org card with our number. You best believe I'm going to fast and pray to find this guy again!

So this week was chill but it was still good. Next time, we will find out if I stay or go for the next transfer! Tune in next week to find out!

Have a wonderful week and may the odds be ever in your favor!

Take care,
Sister Buhler
